Mixed Level- Wheel and Handbuilding Course
This 8 week course will introduce fundamental handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques and skills, build upon them, and discuss ceramic design history to contextualize each technique. Students are encouraged to keep a sketch book and will be given supplemental materials to enjoy on their own time between classes. Class size is small allowing for one on one instruction and personally tailored project goals.
Pinching , Coil and Slab building, Surface Design, centering, throwing different forms, pulling handles, trimming and Glazing
This course includes :
25 lbs of white stoneware (other clays available for purchase)
$20 in firing credit (additional firing will be charged at the rate of 6 cents per cubic inch)
Open Studio Practice Time Sundays from 9am - Noon
Tools needed for class:
Communal Tools will be available to borrow, however students are encouraged to purchase their own set.
Apron or clothing you are okay getting messy in
Small hand towel
Small lidded container (this can be an old take out or yogurt container)
Cancellation Policy:
To request a cancellation, please contact us via email at least 10 days prior to the first class of your session to receive a full refund minus a $50 service fee. Refunds requested within one week of the first class are eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be provided once the session has started. If you notice any errors in your registration or need to cancel, please email us at PomoCeramics@gmail.com.

If the class does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements, we reserve the right to cancel the class and may offer students the opportunity to transfer to another class or semester, apply tuition to a different course, or issue a full refund.
Missed Class Policy :
Please note that there are no make-up classes or refunds for missed sessions. If you anticipate being absent, kindly email PomoCeramics@gmail.com in advance. This allows us to manage class scheduling accordingly, address any questions you may have, and provide you with any relevant materials for that week.
